DMCC 2. Sectors Conventional Generation
Dynamic Model Development & Grid Code Compliance Studies
This sector includes generation which use conventional synchronous machines to produce electricity at thermal, hydro and nuclear power plants. The synchronous generators are still the main source of electricity production in many power systems all over the world. Correct control of synchronous machines in terms of excitation, oscillation dampen, governor operation are key factor to achieve the overall system stability and to prevent huge blackouts.
For power plants DMCC proposes the following services:
- Analysis of transfer capacity of power plants evacuation schemes
- Grid Code Compliance (Stability study after generators’ renovation and replacement of its controls)
- Development and verification of dynamic models of synchronous machines AVR, UEL, OEL and PSS
- Protection system models for electrical auxiliary supply systems of nuclear power plants
